Foreign speakers initially think English verbs are much easier, with much less conjugation than other language, BUT.... SO MANY professional people still make mistakes. I speak/I am speaking... I have/I have had...I used to/I was.

 

My system shows you a quick-learn MEMORY technique which guarantees you will never be confused.

 

CONTRACTIONS! ( combining two words)

 

Many foreign speaker's struggle to contract.

'I am' becoming 'I'm' is common, but 'you'd/he'd/they'll/she'd/we're...' the list is endless. Let me show you how to use these in relaxed speech so you both UNDERSTAND English at a high speed and SOUND more natural in English.

 

COMPOUNDS / PHRASAL VERBS

 

English has many verbs which are similar to those in latin languages, BUT it is TOO EASY for foreign speakers to relax and use these. British and American speakers actually use PHRASAL VERBS

 

Get on/ Get over/ Get to/ Take off/ Take up/ Put down/ Put out/ Put up with...

 

They all mean something different and you do NOT sound correct in English until you MASTER these, but with so many of them which ones should you learn?

 

My method will promote the learning of the main phrasal verbs and will STOP you every time you miss one. You will soon sound more English. Equally, when you use a phrasal verb, we will CHECK you are comfortable with the more formal verb.

LISTENING COMPREHENSION and ACCENT

 

SPEAKING

 

English is physically produced in the mouth differently than other European languages. GOOD English uses the consonants to make sharp and clear sounds.

VOCABULARY and EXPRESSION

 

The classes will constantly aim to increase your vocabulary by suggesting different options for your chosen words.

 

Throughout the classes I use a three-level system, often asking you to repeat a sentence using a formal,standard, and then colloquial/common register.  This teaches learners who can communicate basically, how to alter their English to match the situation and has been a very popular option amongst business English students.
