ABOUT ME
Welcome,
A little more about me…
I grew up using both languages bilingually - so those learning French get the advantage of a French mind with the advantage of an English-speaking mind breaking it down for you. Likewise, English learners enjoy a teacher who understands European grammar and why European speakers make certain mistakes. I also speak Spanish and Italian, so I do understand what it is like to learn a language!
In addition to this, I have a Masters in Modern European Languages and the French Government's DALF Diplôme approfondi de langue française/ Advanced French Certificate.
I have taught French and English for 8 years. I enjoy group classes but mainly teach 1-2-1. I am not a student or secondary teacher giving adult classes on the side. This is my full-time job - getting you able to speak, live, and work in your language! I understand how the process works and have many former clients who are now using the languages fluently.
My method is to provide you with LOGICLEARNING memory tools - quick access patterns which avoid memorising endless conjugations and spellings. I also focus on listening and pronunciation; I teach the French way of connecting words which often makes it so difficult for English speakers to understand them. Likewise, I show English learners how to use their pallet, lips and teeth and sound fantastically clear in English!
My goal is to teach you patterns that stay with you. I am sure you are all lovely, but my students can soon move on and be able to learn infomation for themselves, using these methods with a full understanding of their new language.
I enjoy walking and seeing London. After establishing the basics, many of my students enjoy their lessons whilst walking through London's parks or historical areas. This creates a wondefully realistic conversation class and prepares clients for thinking with background noise when they start using their new language abroad or for work.
